The Scully Leather tradition began in 1906 in Napa, California with the manufacture of fine gloves and jackets. Scully’s involvement in a long line of historical events, including Admiral Byrd’s expeditions to the Antarctic for which Scully was an official supplier, resulted in the permanent display of their creations in both the Smithsonian Institute and the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington.
Before long, they were manufacturing military issue flight helmets and jackets for WWI and WWII pilots. Their product line expanded over the years to include leather flying helmets, luggage, briefcases, agendas, portfolios, wallets, handbags and personal leather goods.
The 81st Aero Squadron Collection was inspired by the leather jackets, gloves and helmets which Scully provided to American pilots in both American WWI and WWII and supported Admiral Byrd with their signature gloves for his North Pole expeditions.
Today, the Scully line has expanded to include clothing inspired by American Western history…from the 18th and 19th century to the Golden Age of the Western movie, from the open range to the rodeo arena, from vintage to modern rockabilly, they offer a wide range of leather jackets, vests, shirts, and pants. Scully is recognized as one of the leaders in reproductions of vintage Western wear at affordable prices. Whether you are a guy or a gal, are “all hat and no cattle”, whether you ride the range or the highway, whether your corral is the boardroom or the ranch…Scully can outfit you!
